Online Renewal of the NBI Clearance is now Available

A proponent of improving the ease of doing business for Filipinos for many years has been the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

In addition to allowing citizens to renew and pay their NBI clearance online, NBI has expanded its online services for citizens, including online registration, online appointment scheduling, and different payment options. This keeps citizens safe by allowing them to renew and pay their NBI clearance while staying at home.

Filipinos can now access NBI clearance services online at https://clearance.NBI.gov.ph without having to make personal appearances or wait in long queues. Aside from that, citizens can also pick up their clearances from the NBI or request for a door-to-door delivery service in Metro Manila and Luzon and in Visayas and Mindanao within three to seven business days.

It was announced and officially launched on Thursday, June 15, 2021, at the new NBI building in Quezon City, the Online Clearance Renewal with Delivery Service Nationwide that will streamline and streamline the clearance process.

In today’s announcement, we are excited to announce the benefits of our continuous digitalization of data. The NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin told the media during the formal presentation and official launch that Filipinos will be able to renew their NBI clearances online instead of going out face-to-face, making the process easier.

In partnership with IPAY MyEG PHILIPPINES, INC., a market leader in electronic solutions championing government service online automation, the NBI Clearance Online Renewal System was conceived. With its technology platform encompassing internet, automation, big data, and electronic payments, the company has been providing eGovernment services in Malaysia and the Philippines for the last 18 years.

“Our goal is to make renewing NBI Clearance easier, more efficient and safer for Filipinos without having to leave their homes. In addition to our commitment to public service, NBI will continue to develop programs and initiatives that will enhance the convenience of the lives of our fellow Filipinos, says NBI OIC Director Eric B. Distor.

We have doubled our efforts to make people’s lives easier by making NBI clearance renewal accessible online, in support of the agenda set forth by our current NBI officer-in-charge, Eric B. Distor. In addition to being convenient, it is a safer way to protect our citizens because they can stay right at home,” says NBI Deputy Director Yap.

In order to accommodate and provide applicants with their necessary documents without having to leave their homes or easily pick up their clearance on a scheduled date, NBI is clearly embracing technology through the implementation of online renewal processing with pick-up by individuals, pick-up by courier (Lalamove or Grab), and delivery.

“Our data officer is constantly monitoring and observing our security system. As part of our obligations under the Data Privacy Act, we must ensure that all data we provide to clients is secure and safe,” said the Deputy Director. In response to Lavin’s question about the online renewal system’s security measures.
